Shigeru Miyamoto to "retire" from position at Nintendo?

Miyamoto has been saying himself as of late that he wishes to develop smaller projects with younger developers. He has been reportedly telling his staff that he will be retiring- not from the industry, but from his position working at Nintendo.

At 59 year old, Miyamoto has expressed a desire to simply work on smaller, niche projects instead of the large scale Nintendo projects he is working on. He has also said he is trying to show off one such project  that he has been working on sometime next year in Japan.
